Morecambe RAM 716

Friday 28th October 2016

When my good friend Henry Mayor invited me to attend Morecambe RAM Installation, I didn’t take a great deal of persuading. The lads at Morecambe have always been welcoming in any of the Orders and RAM is no exception.
PGM's Representative W.Bro. Ross Kinder, W.Commander Nick Baxter,
Installing Commander, John Stanley and PGM's Special Representative Stuart Brackstone
On arriving, after a journey dogged by delays due to road works, all in the name of improving traffic flow, I was soon in the company of masons I had known for years. Not least of all the Worshipful Commander John Stanley. I was sure to enjoy the night.

The PGM's Representative, Ross Kinder was in attendance along with Stuart Brackstone the PGM's Special Representative and Roy Turner one of the Lodge Founders who is now an Honorary Member of the Lodge.

At 7pm, on the dot, John set about opening the lodge and everything went like clockwork, with all the officers knowing their parts and executing their roles to perfection. In no time at all, John had Installed his successor Nick Baxter in a delightful manner.

Nick then invested his officers, closed the lodge and of we went to a super ‘Deluxe Salad’, just what I needed with four festive boards this week!

With the formalities following the meal discharged, we all departed to the various parts of our wonderful Province, reflecting on a special evening of Royal Ark Mariner Masonry.
Members of Morecambe RAM with their Guests
Keith Atkinson, Stuart Bateson, Norman Mitchell, Neil McGill, Geoff Bury, Ross Kinder,
Nick Baxter, John Stanley, Peter Jackson, Stuart Brackstone, Paul Broadley and John Rimmer
I’m please to say the traffic jams had cleared for our journey home, but next time I go to Morecambe the new road will be open and all our traffic woes will be history!

Morecambe RAM meet of the fourth Friday in February, April and October. Membership is open to Mark Master Masons and is highly recommended as a colourful degree well worth of consideration.
